Joy Gush was born in Devonshire, England. Tutored by her father in her early years, Joy developed her own style of painting the English countryside. The appealing thatchedcottages, the colorful quilt effect of fields laced together by stone walls or hedgerows with wild flowers, mysterious wildlife on Dartmoor, cliffside vistas and secluded beaches. All these memories emerge on canvas as scenes from Joy's childhood in England.
